I wonder who Carly Simon was singing about

It only took 43 years, but Carly Simon has said that her infamous 1972 song You’re So Vain is, in fact, about Warren Beatty. Well, partially.
That is according to The British national newspaper The Guardian. Back in the days when we were amateur ballroom dancers and went to many a dance/competition/festival, my wife would sing it to me as I preened myself ready for the ballroom floor. On one occasion one of the lady dancers said to my wife: "Your husband always gets those small details just right." "Don't tell him that," my lady replied, "it's hard enough to get his head through the door as it is!"
