I won't own that ...

Better to have it and not need it, than need it and not have it.

True, but it's a big responsibility & it's not for everyone. Some people have limits to how far they will go to defend themselves & deadly force may be past their limit. For them, a deadly weapon wouldn't be a good idea. And I own several.

Deadly force is NOT past my limit
Please.......a gun debate is way off topic here.

They have to be protected for their own good , seeker we have foxes in Australia who’d make a nice meal of chickens that were not locked up at night .
Other than food for us , type of birds I wouldn’t ever have a caged bird

I wouldn't have a fur coat or a bird. I don't like the dander that caged birds put into the air for us to breath and I sure wouldn't want to clean a bird cage. I don't have chickens or cattle or anything like that because of the mess and responsibility of caring for them. Never have an indoor cat because of the littler boxes. I can't stand rodents or snakes as pets either. We do have outdoor cats and 2 indoor/outdoor dogs.

A vehicle loaded with hi-tech stuff I'll never use or need. A smart phone. Picutures to hang on my walls as I tire of them after one month. Those stupid talking robots. A cat.

We had a parrot that loved to be petted just like a dog. When we got a Chihuahua puppy, she was bigger than him.

That’s exactly my feelings about birds Falcon ..born or should I say hatched to be free .

I would never own any sort of business that cages or chains animals / birds and I don’t support such businesses who do .

I'm with Pappy. I wouldn't own a cat either. Cats are for women, IMO.

Why on earth do you conclude that? Over the years I have had many cats and dogs and found things to love in both. I think some wannabe macho types are jealous of cats. Show me a dog that can jump 6-7 ft vertically or can run along a 1"wide fence. Having a cat means having to think, they are very possessive and smart but loving. I love them both...in fact I love most all animals, but they are different. PS I am not a woman....but I love them too.

I think it's cruel & stupid to keep a small bird in a cage as a "pet" ! Most small birds are
born to FLY ! Please let them fly !!
There are wild birds and domestic birds. Just like there are wild dogs and cats and domestic ones. Some live in cages but also fly around the house, like mine, and are very happy birds! Domestic birds have lived in households all their lives and never been wild. They are very content. So, it's not cruel or stupid!

I would not own a Smart Car. They are cute and whenever I see one on the road it makes me smile.....but tooo small for me!

A classic British sports car. I've always been a huge fan . . . but "been there; done that". They suck up spare time and money like a vacuum cleaner and cause my vocabulary to expand into areas I prefer to avoid.
