"I'd like to thank the Academy....." What do you think of those award shows?

When I was a kid, the Oscars were a big deal. I dunno. I just can't get into it anymore. Really, some overpaid actor rambling about saving the kumquats. And when you have to rent a semi to cart away all your Grammys, is the award that special? Or are you glued to your seat, watching the spectacle?
BTW, what happened to all those "Miss America/Universe/USA/Teen/ETC. TV shows?

It's like watching Hypocrites On Parade and gets worse every year. So as not to dirty the Guccis of the rich and famous, the Academy ordered the "relocation" of a homeless encampment that was too close to the venue. They didn't care where, just cart their "homes" away and make them invisible. So, most of the now more-homeless-than-ever homeless are camped down the street in front of the homes of the rich and famous people's audience.

And that's how much they care about their audience, too.

Wait....did they even have an audience this year?

I never watch an award shows but, hey, I'm the guy who cut the cable over 18 years ago. Now, if I had cable, what a horrible thought, I wouldn't watch any award shows. I might watch a documentary about real people but why in the world should I watch spoiled brats? Makes no sense in my book of common sense!
