With only a partial side view facial, I can't tell who this is, so I looked to the rest of the picture for clues. Due to some color deterioration typical of pictures from the 1970s, and the hairstyle of the older woman seated in the background, that makes me feel confident the photo is at least 50 years old. The woman who is seated is too matronly and inappropriately dressed for the informal setting of a teenage looking girl in short shorts and the shirtless male looking on...again ?... OK... Ill have to search for something...
British this time.... famous celebrity, not an actor
The older woman seems somewhat detached, almost as though her presence is required rather than voluntary; maybe she's filling a chaperone role for the young couple, indicating a family of some distinction, but impossible to say what family that may be.
Just throwing those thoughts in, for what they're worth, in case it may help someone else make a guess.

Wow, that was a strong clue; maybe a giveaway. So then, this would be Princess Diana, from a "family of some distinction indeed!
Assuming I got it right, I'm re-submitting a photo I posted but took back last night. If I was wrong with my guess, let me know, and I'll withdraw the photo below.

you are correct about Diana.. I had to laugh at your description of her sister in the background..there was only 5 years between them.... and pror to Charles & Diana getting together Sarah had been his girlfriend

I love the old reruns of Password and I just watched this one the other day. The early 60s game was difficult. You had to have an extensive vocabulary.

I always remember the movies I've seen the actors in but never their names.
Robert Ryan was in a few westerns I've watched recently and of course Montgomery Clift was in a A Place In The Sun with Elizabeth Taylor.

I believe that's Carroll Baker, Mack, She was early on typecast as a sexpot, but she was a little better of an actress than she's given credit for.

Earlier today, Oldfeller guessed Carroll Baker, and you were right of course. Finally, I found someone who felt as I do about Baker. There was a conflict in the late 60s between Baker and Hollywood, so she went abroad, but that didn't work out so well for her either.
I have a guess about the photo you posted, but since you made the suggestion to wait for an answer to the picture Rose posted, we will do that.

she was never well known in the UK.. but I recognised her immediately because she was the actress who played Ado Annie in Oklahoma..wasn't she ?

She was also in Its A Wonderful Life as Violet Biggs.
