President Obama can't serve a third term, but if he could would you vote for him? Please take the anonymous poll.

Did and wouldn't. He did somethings OK, but I think it is time for a change. He ain't no FDR...

The only reason I can see for NOT wanting him to have a third term is the abject hatred and vitriol levied against him by the Right.. it has been beyond normal and wouldn't get better... but will only drag out the gridlock and drama for another 4 years..

FDR was the reason for two terms was decided on. We should do the same with the Senators and Representatives of Congress. A reasonable number of years for each should be imposed and then limited.

But they would have to change the system that allows them unlimited tenure, so it ain't happening...

I voted a huge YES! He is and has been a wonderful President in spite of the republicans who made no secret from day one they were going to obstruct his every move. I wish every one of those arrogant jerks were out of office and people who cared about American and it's people were filling their seats.

I think the positives in his presidency have outweighed the negatives. Could have accomplished more, but for the problems with republicans and some folks in his own party. I think part of the issue was his unwillingness to play politics. He didn't make many friends on The Hill. That cost him. I thought he had some good ideas, particularly with the economy, but it's time for a change.

absofreakinglutely no. I voted for him the first two times only because republicans suck! This man could have worked wonders, but instead he naively thought that he was dealing with an honorable adversary that knew the fine art of statesmanship. He should have grabbed the bull by the horns coming out of the gate, while he was riding the bully pulpit in those first heady months. If he had, single payer insurance would have been the law of the land. He has squandered his advantage at every turn.

He showed his weakness and has been on the run ever since. I appreciate the man,and I do consider him a good president, but nobody extraordinary!

I have to agree... Obama's biggest mistake... and the one that lead to his failures was believing he was dealing with "honorable" people... ie... Republicans. He.. along with most of us underestimated the depth and intensity of their hatred and bigotry.. Sad.... BUT now we know.. I don't think Democrats will make that mistake again. I know one thing.. I will NEVER look at the Republican party in the same way now that I know what they are.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with the Republicans. They have many folks of different ideas and ways, just like the Democrats also have many people of different ideas and ways. Some in both parties are near the middle thinking positions and others on both side keep thinking further and further away from the middle position. It is just the way of life for all.

I'm with Jim, I would vote for him if he could run for a third term. If he didn't have the GOP working against him since the beginning of his Presidency he could have accomplished so much more. He shows much strength to deal with such constant criticism and obstruction, good character to be sure. I don't care much for the others running on the Democrat side, although I do like Bernie Sanders.

I'm an Independent, and have voted for both parties in the past, but now, especially as a middle class senior, I can't see voting in a republican who will gut programs like Medicare and Social Security, or are dead set on getting rid of the Affordable Care Act which has helped so many. Also cringe at the idea that there would be a President who leads the country by the bible, and that's what I see in many of the candidates running now.

There is NO ONE on the Republican side that I could vote for.. absolutely no one.. I would be voting against my own interests.. and I'm not about to do that..

No. When Obama's chief of staff refers to the cabinet as toothless, and it is pretty much true, he's removed too much power from the cabinet and put it in the hands of the White House staff. Granted, the WHS does not have official power, but he empowers them. This type of executive power grabbing started with FDR to bypass slow and lacking Congress, but there are times when presidents, and their chiefs, need to be reminded that the reason for checks and balances is to keep any one branch from over-reaching.

The ACA is a perfect example. That bill was passed as a tax credit bill for veterans buying their first home. When it was sent to the Senate, the entire body of it was deleted and replaced with the ACA bill. The House raised cain about it but the press called them babies, and since they had already passed that tax bill, all they could do was try to amend it. This is the actual bill, and on the right you can look at all the versions as it was morphed. (https://www.govtrack.us/congress/bills/111/hr3590/text/ih) Hijacking bills is unethical.

The Senate was under Democratic control and it was Obama's baby. Obama does not practice what he preaches. Oh, and people who complain about his unethical behavior are called racists and I resent that because it takes away a person's right to protest, which is a constitutional right. If Hillary got into the White House, the same thing would happen... oh, you're complaining just because she's a woman. If someone is going to be president, they should be held to the same standards and ridicules as anyone else and those who cry nay should not be made to feel that they are being a bully.
