If Soda Commercials Were Honest

I like diet soda with certain foods but I try to limit myself.

I'm happy to see that they are returning to the smaller mini cans, remember the old 6 oz. bottles.

All carbonated beverages contain carbonic acid, dissolved CO2. This is a liquid that can dissolve enamel, over time, along with the mucosal lining of your GI tract. It has been implicated in colon cancer, ulcerative colitis complications, stomach cancer, hemorrhoids, etc.

I think anyone who drinks soda pop, regularly, is just a major malady waiting to happen. I gave up all carbonated beverages, except for a very occasional, watered down Guinness, some thirty years ago.

There is probably nothing wrong with an occasional bottle/can of pop, but those who consume that stuff regularly are asking for trouble....especially those who drink large quantities of "diet" pop. It has been shown that the artificial sweeteners "trick" the brain into wanting more....which is a good deal for the pop companies, but very risky for humans.

Didn't we talk about MODERATION a while back? IMO, the only things that "trick the brain" are constant commercials, ads & articles of individuals & companies hammering away about how only their product or life style is good for you and everyone else's is bad for you.

Actually, artificial sweeteners ARE bad for the brain and body. There are numerous references on the Internet showing how these Chemicals can have negative effects....here is just one example.....
