When those depressive thoughts come do you suppress them? Dealing with them is KEY.....not easy by no means, however well worth it. Continue meditating... it will help you in dealing with the pain and depressive thoughts and feelings. Again, it is not easy dealing with internal pain however you sounds as if you are on the right track with meditation.Someone already took my movie title "If it isn't one thing, it's another".
Dealing with this is an hourly thing for me now. I can meditate and calm my mind and body, but the pain returns and like you so does the depressive thoughts and feelings.
