If there was one thing you could say to your young self, what would it be?

Don't be so trusting. Everyone, no matter how nice they seem, cannot be trusted.

Find a good, trustworthy, kind partner when you are younger so you won't grow up to be old and alone. I concentrated on other things, alas.

If I Could Call My 29-Year-Old Self, Here’s What I’d Say…

Don't start smoking.

I taught 40 yrs. I told kids many times the smartest thing you can ever do I NOT START smoking. All my smoking friends have very bad health. Dying mostly. If I could talk to myself at 18 it would be "don't fall in love so quickly." I was very lucky with my two wives but looking back I needed to have played the field more......probably would have turned out worse. And bought Walmart stock.
