Ok let's look at control, is it all right for the powers that be have access to everything you do? Hypothetically speaking total surveillance on citizens may increase arrest and conviction rates, however,the prevention rate will only slightly decrease in number because act according to their nature and having cameras everywhere will not completely stop crime.
If indeed we have too much freedom and suppose we turn into totalitarian society for protection the problem would be same (human nature) but now we depend on man made laws and regulations to restrict the ability of choose.
I fear we are losing our ability to choose objectively and replacing it with media driven persuasiveness, sadly many fail to grasp the concept "you are what you eat" and society proves this time and time again.
Thinking outside of the box is being objective in what you hear and do. Think for yourself, Don't be like SHEEP herded this way and that.
