If you cook, do you vary your meals?

My iPad is loaded with recipes that I’ve saved. If I had ground beef, I’d go through them and decide what I’m in the mood to have. Etc, etc. Some meals get repeated within a season.

In the summer we have fresh FM potatoes almost every night. The season is nearly over.

I do tend to make something and two days later we have it again. Vegetables, etc would be different.

I would take the same lunch to work everyday for years. When I was working where I could go home for lunch it was left overs from the previous night. This wasn't a necessity it was by choice.

When were both working and she was working outside of the restaurant business, we had the same 5 five or so dishes that would be done and on the table in an hour. Weekends were a different matter 1 or 2 meals out and something that was a lot of prep time. We'd both be pretty good with this routine getting bored every 6 months or so. When that would happen we'd plan out a week of things that were new or required a lot of time to prepare in advance. That seemed to reset us and then back to quick and easy.

When she was in the food biz, there usually something fun in left overs she'd bring home. Mostly desserts though.

Now we make mains in large quantities and eat it several days in a row. It makes it really easy and convenient for us most days.

It's not that we're are not fussy eaters, we make food we both really like.

I live alone, don't even have a cat. So, I don't cook, I nuke. And I eat the same things at the same times, day after day. When I was a kid, I would have sworn that would never happen to me. I became a psych. nurse, because you never knew what to expect-every day was unexpected and definitely NOT routine. So, why am I now eating way the I do. Don't know, but I'm happy with it.
