If you saw a sign "Help Yourself" on a restaurant salad bar, how would you interpret it?

Been there seen those. Ordered our meals then went to help ourselves. Didn't interpret the sign to mean pig out on the salad bar.

probably always the restaurants error cos they haven't figured out all levels of gluttony?

My mom and I were at a church supper a long time ago. An obese couple came in and sat at our table - I mean FAT - probably weighed about 700 pounds added together. The server brought the platter with meat on it and sat it beside those people. The man picked it up and scraped half the meat onto his plate and then handed the platter to his companion. She slid the rest of the meat onto her plate.
The server was asked to bring another plate, but by the time she returned, the obese couple had finished eating, the repeated what they had done. When more meat was requested at the table, the server said she was only allowed to refill the platter twice - so everyone else at that table never got any meat.

This thread reminded me of John Pinette's comedy. This comedy bit was from the 90s. Don't watch if you're easily triggered.
