If you use Supermarket self serve do you talk to the machine?

I don't like to use the self-serve but only do it because it's quicker. I too hate it when it says, "Wait for the Assistant", when they come over, I feel like I've done something wrong because the camera overhead snapped me putting something in my bag, turned out it was an empty plastic bag. I too tell the machine to shut up.

"Put. The item. In. The bag!"

"I already did you old witch you're the one who doesn't know a zucchini from a cucumber so shut up."

I always use the live cashier these days there were too many cases of self-check register rage.

I talk to the machine sometimes. Does it listen? I don't know :ROFLMAO:

The best is Google maps. Every time my wife and I are in France it pronounces the city Nancy as the name of Nancy Sinatra. But in fact it is different. Often I've told the AI the correct pronunciation, but it doesn't seem to listen.

As I've stated here on the forum, I generally like Machines over most people I've met.
I'd say 90% of the time, the self-checkout machines I used do a good job without any delays.

Don't use them if I have things that need to be weighted or if I purchase wine or my favorite Craft beer.
I don't mine standing in the full-service line when I need these things.

From one of my favorite movies that I've modified, "I'm Old, I know how to Queue..."

No, but I may start.
Same here. I always use self-checkout because as a teen I worked for a couple of years as a grocery cashier and I'm picky about the way my items are bagged (especially with the cost of groceries lately).

However, one local chain here has a self-checkout with a very strident voice that I find incredibly annoying, like I'm a kid being reprimanded in school.
