Radical: My Journey out of Islamist Extremism

This is about how this young man was radicalized, he ran terrorist cells in Amsterdam, Germany and the UK.

I'm not putting this in the books section, because this is one of the keys to understanding what is really happening in the world and how young people are being drawn to it.

This book also offers some solutions.

It is very difficult to make sense of what is really happening in the world, if your information is coming from (mostly slanted ) newspapers...

This is where terrorism begins, and how it progresses.

If we don't find way to stop this progression we will have ISIS, now within an hours drive of Bagdad, succeeding.
These terrorists are beheading scores people ,shooting hundreds of civilians, raping and even crucifying, this is a true horror story. and we need to understand the roots of where it begins in order to stop it.

These people will not stop at taking over just the Middle East.. This group and others like it are a world wide problem
(ISIS currently the richest terrorist organization in the world having stolen 237 million from the banks when they stormed Mosul, in Iraq)

For those who might say this is just a civil war, I think the definition of terrorism has largely to do with targeting innocent
civilian as well as women and children.

Definition in the Thesaurus:

"Terrorism - the calculated use of violence (or the threat of violence) against civilians in order to attain goals that are political or religious or ideological in nature; this is done through intimidation or coercion or instilling fear"

War is two armies fighting each other.

I really dont care about these Islamist or whatever they want to be called.

But set foot and cause problems here in the U.S.,be prepared for a REAL battle.

A tad away from the subject, I am reading 'Daughters of Arabia" non fiction, written by Jean Sasson, the sequel to her best seller 'Princess'. After reading a few pages I thought I must read "Princess", getting further into the story, the whole scenario, where the female of the species is concerned in Saudi Arabia (and including other Muslim countries), is sick, sick, sick.
I'm going to give "Princess" a miss, just too depraved for me.

I have read that and about 25 other books by women in Muslim countries, over the past 10 years.

I assume that you mean that the treatment of the women is too depraved???

It is shockingly terrible, more people have to be aware of it !

I saw the title and thought this was about the public education system

But a young mind is a terrible thing to waste. In third world countries especially where there is very little exposure to DIFFERENT opinions, politics, processes, people etc radicalization is that much easier. Throw in some religion and poverty the battle is all but lost.

Read the book... very important, because it is written by a young man

who was radicalized and setting up terror cells... !!!

and he feels that there is a solution !!!
