I used to see the most appalling things on TV when my wife was alive.Since my Husband and I have different views on what is good to watch on tv I prefer the computer.

Thatās the only way to go.Do you have two TVs in two rooms by any chance?
I have a low tier channel package. There really is nothing on. I'm channel switching also. I like the game shows Hey Yahoo and Switch. I only started getting The Game Show Network about a year ago on my tier package. I refuse to pay more and get more channels. I already feel I pay too much for the bundle.I never put my T.V. on until 4.30 pm. I spend most of the time switching between channels because most things are boring. I love documentaries and shows like Escape to the Country and people doing up old houses.
Old Salt; Totally agree with you . My son has just come to my place for a couple of weeks and every night we watch the cooking channel. He is such a good cook and I have managed to put on a couple of pounds since he got here.!!!!Yep, my daughter and I are reduced to watching that as well. Nothing like seeing people demolish a house and then rebuilding it! Very satisfactory! This may make me look unmanly <cringe> but we also watch cooking shows together ... and that's about it! Hardly worth all the momey I spend on streaming. I must cancel some of the streamers especially since new contents might not be forthcoming this fall with the writers'/ actors' strike still in full swing!
I had to go back to books I read ages ago! I am enjoying the "Spenser" series by Robert B. Parker at the moment! And I agree re. YouTube even though I go slightly wild when they put a commercial in the middle of something I'm watching! How dare they interrupt something I am interested in!I'd keep my computer, I can live without a TV and I can read books on my computer although it is getting harder to find a book that I enjoy reading, YouTube is my number one entertainment for now.
I would say so, that's the last thing I would give up!Isn't the computer most important, as you can read & watch tv on it? Late to thread.
While I still have a TV I would never watch a movie on a tablet or a PC! If I only had a computer I don't think I would watch any movies. I have re-watched all the oldies and goodies and can't muster up any enthusiasm for Marvel, DC Comics and Vin Diesel in Drag races! For those who would get rid of the tv, do you just watch movies by yourself on your computer?
Based on the number and size of TVs in Costco, etc, it seems like theyāre still popular.
