If you were in the service, do you consider yourself a "Vet"?

You are a vet. They could have sent you anywhere and you would have to go. Didn't....understand completely. Never the less you are a Marine. You served...............period!
I understand the clubby issues. Never the less or more to the point...................you served...........you are a vet.

Just joined this forum. USAF But yeah, I consider myself a Vet. I don't call myself a combat vet because we were peacekeepers in Beirut, and that's the only time I received Hostile Fire Pay. I was a member of the EUCOM Liaison Team inside the city, on October 23rd, 1983. My brothers in arms are never appreciated like they should be! History repeats itself, over and over.
