If you won the lottery for $110,000,000, would you still keep your job?

If you won the lottery, you'd be out the door from your job as fast as you can. Right? Most lottery winners keep their jobs ?????. 🤔

Right!

... like I was shot out of a cannon, but I'd get a new job. This would be my new job!

If I was still working and won that much, yes I would resign from my job or (according to how old I was), take early retirement so I could still get benefits. Let someone else who needs a job fill my old position. Unlike some who claim there's nothing to do in retirement, I can find many things to do, especially with the new found wealth.

I keep trying to win and that much money would be more than welcome. Lots of money to friends and family. Another place for us to live.

We are both retired, so do not need to quit a job.

Depends of the size of the first prize. I can understand this if someone is 50 or younger and liked their job. Maybe just for a few years to maintain medical coverage, get settled, etc.

About 15 years ago a BC sports anchor won $2.5 M and is still working. Vancouver is very expensive and they have a disabled child. Very nice guy by all accounts.

$110 Million I‘d be long gone.

No, I wouldn't quit my job. Not at first, anyway. I'd make sure I have the money in my possession first. I'd also let my employers know ahead of time. And I'd stay long enough to train the next guy. They've always been good to me, so it's the least I can do. (of course, I would never breathe a word about the money, I'd just go with the retirement story)

If I were to win that kind of money, the first thing I'm doing, before I even go to claim it, is going to the bank and talk to Aaron. He's been my banker for over 30 years, has never given me bad advice, and I trust him. I know I would have to have a financial 'team', and he could point me in the right direction.
