Illuminating the "hard problem of consciousness" mystery

The videos Your Brain: Perception Deception and Quantum Consciousness and the Origin of Life were absolutely fascinating,as were the others refereced in this thread. The 'hook' is set now, I must travel further along this intellectual path. I've been hopping off the treadmill, pausing the video and frantically taking notes as well as my brain-under-siege can manage. I wish there were some show notes available.

A book titled The Emperor's New Mind is available in digital format from Amazon, sounds read-worthy as does the paper- The Quantum origin of life.
 

I remember seeing on the desk of a coworker sixty years ago a gardening magazine. The featured article was "Do Plants Miss Their Mothers?" We teased him about it but I never learned the amswer.
