I'm really miffed now

The last Friday of the month, there's a "Senior Ice Cream Social" at the community center. I got dressed and drove there only to find a sign on the door that said it had been cancelled.

To be fair, they wouldn't know how to. The director never asked for my phone number or email address, but the event is still listed on the center's event calendar.

Well, here the cost of a half-gallon of ice cream would likely be nearly the same as the air fare to London.

That's a bummer Deb, it's not so much the loss of the ice cream but the time you lost in preparing and driving there...for nothing. I did something similar today, I thought Lowes mulch sale started today. I draped off the back of my car and drove there to pick up a load only to learn sale starts Sunday, wasted an hour of my precious time. Frustrating.

A lot less then you. I only lost about 20 minutes and a few quarts of gas. I turned off my computer, hen had to turn it on again in a few minutes.

It got cancelled for whatever reason. You got huffy about the lady who runs the senior activities in the past when something did not go according to your desires.

Call a friend and meet somewhere for ice cream. Buy some good ice cream. Pop an old movie in, eat the ice cream With a soup spoon in your house coat.

I feel your frustration. A couple of days ago we went to a monthly meeting and it was cancelled. The leader couldn’t make it, so cancelled the whole thing an hour before by sending out an email. She doesn’t even really lead the meeting and definitely isn’t needed. It’s a chat group for seniors and getting there isn’t easy for many of them.
