I'm sad over a store closing

Many of those small owner hardware stores have a fortune in brass in them.
Learning to braze brass was one of the trades I picked up and was quite good at.

C50's thread reminds me of a corner store run by two brothers, who were in their 80s when I was a kid. They sold penny candy, many were 3 for 1 cent. Nothing was changed in the last 50 years. At one time, they repaired shoes, but not since they got too old. The store even smelled old. First one brother passed, then the other. I liked the store and the old guys- they seemed to like kids. I was sad when the knock down their ancient store.
