I'm so frustrated right now I could scream....

AT&T has been laying fiber throughout the neighborhood for months now, but only in the area between the sidewalks and the streets. Only those getting the service have had anything done in their yards.

So far, they've managed to hit water lines and buried electrical lines, knocking power out for our street once for a couple of hours. It's been like a clown circus.

We've been asked incessantly, but we don't want AT&T service.

During a corporate reorganization I needed to terminate ADT Security Alarm service for three vacated manufacturing plants. In the process ADT got my cell phone number. For more than three years I received alarm report phone calls at hours of the day and night for the three plants where in fact the ADT equipment had been completely removed. I finally got relief when a friend of mine got the state attorney general to send ADT a cease and desist letter.

OK, all has been resolved. AT&T sent someone out to talk to us. It was another neighbor putting in a whole-house generator and some idiot from the company who was sent out to plot out the electrical lines decided it would be a good idea to do the yards of two houses down on both sides of his house, so five lawns were marked.

Even though the company whose number was on the flags told me it was for an "AT&T Line Drop", AT&T had absolutely nothing to do with it. All is well and the rep was quite apologetic and will make sure those stupid other people don't give out false info again.

All is calm. Nobody is going after our $precious$ water line. Phew. That's a relief.

Now, the firestorm at the bank today was another matter. That was finally resolved satisfactorily. I'll be so glad when this week is over!
