Today, Henry Winkler made an appearance not to far from where I live. My son and his family went to see him and were so impressed how down-to-earth the man is. He allowed them to take lots of pics and signed a picture of himself and some other things for the kids. They said he conversed with the younger one (8 yrs) asking her things about school and other stuff. She's the outgoing member of the family, bet she talked his ears off! Surprised to hear he is 71. Does time fly or what?

Ouch, he's 71? Yes I remember the Fonz; we all loved him. I have seen Henry Winkler in a few other roles, of course none of which come to mind just now. He's a very fine actor and now I see he's a nice guy, too.

I remember him. He is in commercials now. Yes, he does seem like a very nice person. Glad they got to meet him.

Yup, I remember the Fonz well...that old TV show, Happy Days, was one of my favorites. Then, one of my all time favorite movies was American Graffiti...which many say was the foundation for Happy Days. American Graffiti was almost a
"mirror" of my high school years. Henry Winkler (the Fonz) still appears in a TV commercial that airs frequently...pitching reverse mortgages, I think.

Very cool Carla, I used to watch Happy Days when it first came out, and see that commercial all the time with him that Don mentioned. He looks like a nice guy, good to hear he really is.

One of my first crushes...still a handsome guy:D

Nice, Seabreeze. He wrote a note to my granddaughter, told her she was very smart and signed it. She does sound older when she speaks, her brother and sister are a lot older and she learned from them. Wish I knew how to send pics here, they have a pic when he was 10 with a cute caption!

There's a new show on TV, can't remember the name. Henry Winkler, Terry Bradshaw, William Shatner, and George Foreman travel around to exotic places and get in trouble. Last week's show was in Tokyo. It had a few funny moments and some *huh?* ones. I'll probably watch it one more time.

What a combination, though....

Remember him in The Lords of Flatbush?? With a very young Sylvester Stallone. Sure I remember the Fonz.
