I'm Taking a Break

Taking a break from a forum/forums imo is not a negative
thing or choice. For myself and over my years, It does me
well at times to just take time away, come back and jump
back in. I think it can be healthy to do so. That is the freedom
of forums, no one is tied to a chair. Hope you enjoy your time
away @ Beezer.

I understand your wanting to take a break. I did a few years back and it did allow me to decompress and look at things differently when I returned. I don't take anything what people have to say to me as a personal insult. I find that I don't have to one-up anyone.

Relax and be yourself as if you weren't on a forum, but just having a normal conversation. No "one" person here is more or less important than another. I don't have to come up with a better comeback line.

And if the spring door does whack your heel and it breaks the door, you have to fix it before you really leave.

I think taking a break from a forum or Facebook or any internet site is sometimes a good idea. Sometimes it isn't a good fit any more or you just need time away.

An observation I have made - if people post that they are taking a break, so others know they are OK, just choosing not to come for a while, and they post to say so without any put downs about the site or other posters - this is usually met with positive response.

If they say they are leaving and/or make snide remarks on the way out, they get a different response.
