Imagine if we had no mirrors

I make sure to be presentable each day and mirrors are to me a vital part of life. I can't imagine what on earth mankind did before the commonplace use of mirrors.

Yet these days are people too obsessed with appearances and not enough about all the truly important qualities of each other? Imagine if we couldn't see ourselves - perhaps we wouldn't worry so much about how we look.

How would be identify the vampires in our lives. Today, I can look into a mirror and if I don’t see Cousin Jake’s reflection I know he is a vampire (No wonder he likes his steaks very rare). Without mirrors I shudder to think what Jake might do.

Well, I look like crap and don't like to look in the mirror but I do to make sure I look as decent as possible.

I had this friend (sort of I guess, I'd never put up with her today) in my 20's, who was always checking herself out. In glass reflection at the mall or anywhere. I never thought she was all that beautiful but guys seemed to go for her.

The other day I was worrying about not being able to see into a mirror in the future. I’d hate to be walking around with spinach in my teeth or something similar. I want mirrors.
I NEED a mirror, just to be sure I look passable and presentable. Especially my hair.
I can't imagine how in the far distant past people lived without knowing what they looked like.

How about horrified looks in other people's faces? How's that for a mirror? ;)

Have you noticed how you don't look the same in all mirrors? I don't know if it's the lighting or something to do with the mirror itself, but I look quite different in my hall mirror than the bedroom one.

I had a 5lb Maltese named Cassie that thought she was big and bad. There wasn’t any dog she was afraid of and would growl and bark and act like she was going to kill them😳. For her safety I wouldn’t let her near them.

Sometimes she would attack my other 2 Maltese that were twice her size. They were good natured but would get sick of her and pin her down and growl and then she would behave for about a month.

We inherited my son’s 84 lb husky shepherd mix and she would be so mean that he would cry. No clue why he never just ate her 🤣.
