So Many Colleagues Who Died Recently!

I was doing a general search online for old work colleagues. Hoping to find emails to contact them about the loss of our son and of hubby as well.

Sadly, I've found four, one is alive and well enjoying life as a grandmother (she's on FB), but three have died. One tragically in a plane crash aged 82 in 2018, work colleague. One suddenly in 2015 aged 78, he was the bestest boss and finally the office's director at age 80. I'd been in touch with three of them in the early 2000s. My boss and the work colleague were two men who were the nicest guys I'd ever worked with.

Lost touch with a good friend from high school. When I moved back to Utah I decided to try and find him. Instead I found his obituary, he died at age 56... No details and no comments on his obit. I added mine saying I missed him and regretted waiting too long to find him. No one responded. Also found that his brother and parents were gone...

Don't wait too long to find people!

I look up people from my past. So many of them have died, even those who were younger than me. And some died quite young (40s, etc.).

It's a strange feeling. I imagined them living their lives, and here they've been dead for 20 years.

I spent some time this morning going through my email contact list. Unfortunately, a lot of the contacts were for classmates who have died

I have been trying to find a women I dated while I was stationed in Hawaii. There must be hundreds of people with her last name in Hawaii.

I have lost 8 friends between the ages of 59-71. I lost 2 this year alone. When I was 58 and planning to go to my 40th high school reunion I was shocked to discover that my first husband had died at 37. I felt really sad.

My son didn’t care as he hadn’t seen his dad since he was 3 and didn’t remember him. Plus he considers my second husband his dad since he adopted him at 4. When I looked at the memorial page for high school many are dead.

Lost track of my best buddy and guy who had my back in Nam. Finally found him online... or should I say, I found his obituary.

can't say I have lost any work colleagues that I didn't already know about when I was working.. or any schoolfriends that I know of... however I have lost family members .. and not just old one.. 3 young ones too.. age 4 months.. 15 years .. and 23 years old.. so sad, when they've not had a shot at life. R.I.P

i've been present at those times for a few people whom i care about dearly. sometimes they let me know they're still around.
