When I was growing up and we kept having potential threats of a nuclear war.. my mother used to say that if we did have a an atom bomb falling on us that she hoped it would land on her head... I know exactly what she meant

@hollydolly I agree completely with your mother! I wouldn't want to go through the horrors of a true nuclear acopalypse just to survive! Land on me, please!

Imagine, the worst has happened, our world has suddenly disintegrated into all out war. People have barricaded themselves into their homes. All normal life has ceased. Venturing out is minimal and dangerous.

Who could you bear to be cooped up permanently with? Think carefully. For many, close family are the very last people they could tolerate. Would cramming your whole extended family into one house be ideal? Much though we would like to be as The Waltons were, is it likely?

I think my sister and her husband are about the only ones for me and one long time dear friend we all like, who lives alone. Otherwise very few could I tolerate and I'm sure could put up with me.

In that scenario, no one is going to last very long, that's for sure. I'd be cooped up with my three good buddies... Jack Daniel's, Smith and Wesson.

i know it may seem odd but a perfect stranger ........ hopefully with similar likes or maybe not
I am thinking we might not last long if world was so bad .... doubt TV or whatever ..............so a stranger it can fill time getting to know every detail about them and they have not heard all my stories/ memories etc.
It would be possible entertaining and a learning experience to open my eyes from a different view...... even debate would be challenging and keep my mind alert.

i can only imagine my family running out of things to say in a day..................... and just telling one time this happened do you remember... I think i would lose my mind.
