In what ways do you feel prepared or unprepared for the future?

Well, I'm unprepared because I have to redo my will, and arrange to be cremated. I'm almost 80, so I really don't have much to prepare for.
Well, since you're re-doing your will, if you want to leave the bulk of your estate to me, I promise to buy a mega sailing vessel with the proceeds and name it the Bob-catamaran. If you want your ashes to come aboard, I will put them up in the crow's nest for a bird's eye view of the voyage. Surely that has to be a tempting thought.

With my 'estate', the mega sailing vessel you could buy with it, will fit in a bath tub.

At our age planned for & feel that financially we are prepared for however long we have left. No mortgage, no car payments, no major purchases like A/C or appliances. Wills & cremation/burial expenses all paid. Health pretty decent with a health care plan & HSA that covers any emergencies.

Unplanned is just what it implies. No way, to know but will deal with whatever it might be.
