Abbott haters including those who cant accept the worst government in history was soundly defeated, the Greens, rusted on Labor fans and lefties from the ABC, hope Abbotts 'stopping the boats' fails so they dont look so stupid for having been part of a circus that unravelled a working policy.

Interestingly Graham Richardson said all governments spy on each other, it will soon blow over, and Abbott is handling the situation well.

The Indonesian ambassador may have gone home but his family is still here!

Rudd was embarrassing himself and us talking in Beijing in what he thought was Mandarin but which was the equivalent of pidgin English and Gillard was so enraptured with Obama that she invited him to use our facilities in Indo to spy on them!
They've made us look absolute fools between them and that was by no means Tony Abbott's or the Liberal Party's doing!

Not that everybody doesn't spy on everyone else but they enabled the bumbling US spooks to fart loudly in our 'living room' in Djakarta and pull us into the sh*t with them!

If the US are embarrassed about getting sprung by Angela Merkel they should wonder how they feel about getting us sprung by 220 million touchy Muslims, led by a bloke whose middle name is BangBang (really!) and has an election looming, and all within easy boatride of our border! Boy, who needs friends with allies like that....

I'm too cranky to even go into the details but suffice to say we are effectively in the 'Deliverance' position and if we don't apologise they will flog our trade figures severely and if we do apologise we will lose any 'face' we still have left in the rest of Asia and will be treated as the White Trash of Asia that was foretold. THAT is how the Asian mind works diplomatically.
They are in a position to screw us royally whichever way this goes. We've already lost.

No point in ASIO raiding their embassy for spy gear, they're smarter than us, (and the US) they'd have moved all the evidence out before they started the posturing.

I just hope Abbott takes the stand to save what 'face' we have left and take the trade cuts until Indo gets hungry again and their elections are over and they don't need to grandstand any more. I hope he can take the flak and refuse to apologise for what everyone knows everyone else is doing anyway. Rudd would have been on bended knee by now of course, he apologised to everybody for everything, but we tossed that useless p***k out in the nick of time it seems.

Hopefully China still needs our iron ore enough to keep Indo from getting too stroppy about this. Fingers crossed eh?

But the t**d hasn't has he? He's done the teary big goodbye and buggaya act but last I heard he still hasn't tendered the signed resignation! He's going to hold on to his salary as long as possible while still doing nothing useful and putting off the by-election until a more inopportune time. If ever anybody in public life needed.... aaaagh.

That malignant little schemer is going to be trouble as long as he breathes and good point DB, I'd put absolutely nothing past him!

What and when indeed? Never underestimate a Narcissist in vengeance mode, and that one is proven to lay booby traps and playing dirty is his modus operandi. Machiavelli lives in that creep.

... sorry, don't usually care enough about anyone to get intense about them but for Rudd I claim exception. Loathing doesn't even come close.
 
I think ole Bambang might have mistimed taking his bat and ball and going home from the military exercises. Apparently we had a big fat transport plane all polished and gift wrapped to give them but that 'handing over ceremony' has been postponed. Perhaps we could postpone the few hundred mill we give them in foreign aid annually too?

Seems that the locals up there aren't quite as outraged as diplomats would have us believe. The reporters on the ABC are well acquainted with the 'protesters' at the Aussie Embassy and were filmed all having a chat and a joke with them before they started burning flags 'n stuff. They're the same renta-crowd that turns up at all Indo demos.
All is never as it seems in diplomatic circles, or TV News reports. The rest of the population are just getting on with life as though nothing's happening. Which when it boils down is pretty much right. It's just a diplomatic p*ssing competition. Unfortunately that's the level that our trade balance depends on. siiiigh...again.
