A Walmart shopper filmed herself attempting to steal an item at the self-checkout before allegedly being caught by a laughing employee.

“POV: When you usually don’t get caught and now you’re banned for 2 years from all Walmarts in my area,” Nesha wrote over the video, accompanied by Cleotrapa’s Rockstar.

In the twenty-second clip, Nesha scans an item at the retailer’s self-checkout system, then pretends to scan a pink sequined backpack before slipping it into her shopping bag.

A month ago, I diligently scanned all my items at a Walmart self checkout, and then mindlessly walked out without scanning my credit card. A Walmart attendant followed me out and caught me at the door to tell me I never paid. They didn't call the cops, but boy, did I feel stupid. I apologized up and down, but the attendant wasn't interested. She wasn't angry, just uninterested. I prefer isles with checkout girls, but those lines are now getting so long that I've taken the time to start understanding self check out to avoid waiting, but if I have a whole basket full, I still use the old checkouts.
