Information about Chase Freedom Credit Card

If you have a Chase card you might be interested in this. If not just ignore this. :D
I was rummaging around on the internet and I discovered that I could upgrade my existing cards to get more points.
I couldnt find anything about this on their site. You have to call them on the phone and ask for it.

I have two cards. So I upgraded one and kept the other as is to take advantage of the quarterlies. I dont travel but I do order from the drug store and Walmart and Kroger. And occasionally I dine out. So I will get more points on those.

Heres the comparison.

I was just thinking. If the husband was still here I would really be making out on the points. He took a lot of expensive drugs for his various ailments. We usually went in the donut hole in January every year. Them diabetic pens were Hella expensive. :eek:

FYI. Since you like points if you get a Chase business card among other things you get 5 points on internet, cable, and phone.
And office supply stores. Selling on Ebay counts as a business. BTDT. I get 5 points every month on my Spectrum bill. :D
Might as well get a little something back on stuff youre already purchasing. Every little bit helps.
 
Thank for letting us know @Veronica! I have a Chase Freedom card. I will look into this.

I also pay off the balance each month @Nathan, but there are always points on my statement that I can use for various reasons. I usually choose the "Pay Myself Back" option and receive a statement credit in $$$. There have also been times when they have had store gift cards at discounted prices. I've redeemed for Home Depot gift cards in the past.

I used by American Airlines Mastercard to pay my property taxes and received enough miles to keep me at Gold status. It's amazing what opportunities there are with credit cards if you look for them.

I pay my balance off every month too. Points are free money. You get a percentage back on stuff you buy.

Which card do you have. Some of the really old ones didnt give points. If yours doesn't give you points you need to upgrade to a new one.
 
Thank you for the information Veronica. I have both those cards but I'm not sure what you mean by upgraded. Are you saying you still have those same cards, or upgraded to another card? I already get the offerings you've listed for each card. Is there a link to the article that has that information?

You can convert your points to cash that can be deposited into a Chase account or used for statement credit or used to purchase gift cards and other stuff. I always pay my balances in full too, but the points you earn are not affected by how you choose to pay your balances. Go to your Chase credit card page. This is how my Chase Freedom page looks using the computer (it may look different on a moble device). The 88 is .88 cents. 543 points would be $5.43. I hardly ever use this card, but if you use it a lot and didn't even know you had points, you should have a nice sum. 🤑

watch out. Chase customer service is terrible. Your calls are now answered by AI, and you absolutely have to exhaust all possible AI solutions before talking to a real person, which is at least another 20 minute wait time.

I've always used the message feature when I had a question or issue and it was never long before I got a response. Of course, some issues need to be resolved quickly. Chase has an excellent fraud response, lost or stolen cards can be frozen instantly and for me, I'm close enough to a branch that if all else failed, I'd just go there and speak with someone in person.
