Interesting article about lockdowns

Seems the lock downs were in keeping with what China had tried in order "to flatten the curve". No? I may have missed it but I didn't see a mention of China in the article. How is China doing these days hmm?

Those of us who want to be safe, those of us who are in one of the highest risk categories need the lockdown or we will die faster. Of course there are those who ignore the lockdowns, and they are killing people. Children are not dying as quickly as the old people. The worst place to be right now is in a nursing home not at home with your parents. We need to pay attention to Fauci. We aren't, so we are dying.

I agree with the article. This cannot go on. You want to stay home? Feel free! You want to go out. Feel free.
Yes, but misery loves company. People who stay home don't want to see others who are not suffering as they are; consequently, they hate them & blame them for "spreading it." Covid is "The "Blame Disease of 2020."
I've been taking food & supplies to a friend for the past year. She is confined to a wheelchair (Cerebral Palsy). She has an assistant, but her assistant is scared & doesn't help her as often as she needs. When my nephew found out, he started getting stupid on me, telling me how I'll get Covid, then give it to my sister, then she'll give it to him, his wife, & their 2 kids.
Then, a few weeks ago when my sister & I both got colds (COLDS, not Covid), he said, "See? Told ya. You gave my mom your cold."
I asked him, "When your wife goes to Costco, how many people are in the store with her? How many things does she touch? You actually think I'm taking a bigger risk by bringing food to one person than she does running errands all day?"
He actually said, "Yes."
After telling him, "For 37 years old, you're incredibly stupid. Be nice to me & don't ever speak to me again."

Yes....I am in a situation where even when we are not officially in lockdown ,everything my life revolves around is still cancelled. And will remain cancelled until the government decides otherwise.
So until the government decide my rugby team can play (with me there),that I can watch my cricket team play in person rather than on you tube and concert venues can reopen I remain in isolated limbo.
And with it now being suggested that it will take two years to complete the vaccination programme that’s three years of no life at all.
Governments are on a power trip.People have meekly accepted having their lives controlled and ruined. Why would you give freedoms back?Easy to take things away.No need to return them.
The riots I predicted and falling of governments has not yet happened. But surely everyone has their limits?Or are people actually happy to merely exist forever?I get the impression it’s the latter.
I really hope my present existence is not all I have to look forward to.But I fear it is.
Given the average lifespan of men in my family I reckon I’ll be doing well to be here in ten years.
I would like to live for those years, not exist.

Our governor was fast to react to the lock down, as a result the latest CDC stats show only 5 states out the 50 have less cases and deaths than us. Hawaii, Utah, Vermont, Maine and Alaska, we also have a highest population (at least 1M more). Seems to be working for me.

Prior to 2009 I found that I had became obsessed with conspiracies, JFK, FOB, Bush connection to Bay of Pigs, Octopus,,,etc. I had amassed an exorbinate amount of printed data, reams of paper that I never read. I was driving myself and others nuts with theories. One day I just boxed up everything and dumped it in the trash, (at least one tree's worth). I slept better. Could socialize with friends without my dominating the conversation, and the need to argue disappeared.

I decided that the internet could be a dirty vile place to get my information. I researched every article's authorship and source. Whose agenda I was reading and only partially believed the ones who came off unbiased by my research. Again! THE INTERNET IS WHERE ANYONE, I MEAN ANYONE CAN AND WILL POST THEIR OPINIONS WITHOUT PROVING A THING. Not unlike religion. I disbelieve anything that isn't fact based, nothing quoted can be believed unless you want to believe it. Most readers will believe anything when the posted opinion matches their own.
