Understood, @hollydolly I'm blessed (or cursed??) with that, too... mostly it's when senior tickets or discounts are involved. I'm usually told "sorry, ma'am, you need to be 60 (or 65) to use this discount." So I have to pull out the license. But it's not really annoying... hope it stays that way for at least ten years yet!

Exactly ..same as me... . I'm not complaining about that tho'.. because I was lucky to look young for my age, and was still able to Blag a half fare on public transport until I was 25... ..but just sometimes, when people are going out of their way to help older people.. and I'm left out.. I just think..errrm.. ok.. lol

Sometimes I get a little sad that I look much younger than may age, because sometimes I need to sit down somewhere maybe on a train or something due to a back pain..or knee pain.... and no-one gets up to let me have a seat... .

Know you don't, like me, you are so flattered that back and knee pain fade into insignificance. Don't get me wrong, you are a gorgeous girly, but you want, what we all want, is to be thought of as younger. Gorgeous girly that you are it ain't going to happen, but, and lucky for you the but is incredibly huge, but you're old. Join the club, there is many a member who wonders, ponders, thinks, "Why am I so ******* old as all these geriatrics?

Thank you for the lovely compliments HC... but sorry to say you're wrong.. When I'm in pain and I need to sit down, the fact that people don't recognise me as being old enough to need a seat doesn't over-ride the agony I'm in. if only I was that shallow or the pain was that mild... but sadly it isn't...

However I do agree with your geriatrics quote..lol..
