I was curious about the history of Women's Day, because I am not familiar with it. Here's what I found:
"Vladimir Lenin, founder of Russia's Communist Party, declared Woman's Day an official Soviet holiday in 1917. Communists in Spain and China later adopted the holiday as well. "
I think it has probably become more generalized now and is simply a celebration of women, which is great, but I was shocked to see it was originated from Bolshevism.
