I was curious about the history of Women's Day, because I am not familiar with it. Here's what I found:

"Vladimir Lenin, founder of Russia's Communist Party, declared Woman's Day an official Soviet holiday in 1917. Communists in Spain and China later adopted the holiday as well. "

I think it has probably become more generalized now and is simply a celebration of women, which is great, but I was shocked to see it was originated from Bolshevism.

Just watched Billie Jean King, Hillary Clinton, Olena Zelenska & Mika Brezenski, and Gloria Steinam at Abu Dhabi. Extremely inspiring. Lovely, intelligent women they are. Sparkling. We have much to do. Again. Again and again until it finally gets done.

Ah, something to celebrate! Wish I'd have chocolate in the house... any chocolate.
