Hi! My name is Kathleen, from Wisconsin, and so happy I found this forum ❤️
Have your 🎄Christmas plans changed this year due to the virus? We have always spent Christmas Eve with our two kids and families who live in our town, but no indoor celebration this year 😥. SO, I AM STARTING A NEW TRADITION!!!!! This year we will be celebrating
🎄Christmas Eve 🎄 under the stars ⭐️ and I, for one, am excited about it!!! (I think I’m the ONLY excited one at this point, but they will come around 😉). We are going to have a big bonfire, Christmas music, hot cider, hot appies, games, mittens, quilts, and an old fashioned good time! Luckily our grands are all college age so we don’t have any wee little ones to worry about getting too cold. God definitely gave us a few lemons this year, so I decided to make lemonade. Feel very blessed that most of our family is here to celebrate with and we all healthy enough to do this.

Hello! Sounds like great plans you have! My plans have not changed as I have no family here to be with on Christmas anyways. I have my little tree out now and will put up my lights shortly. Just me and my pet family now.

My plans haven't changed much. I'll go to my youngest son's house on Christmas Eve and spend the night so I can wake up with his kids and run to the tree, as usual. But I also usually go to my oldest son's house Christmas evening for pie and stuff and I won't be doing that bc his wife has severe diabetes and, for her own safety, isn't having any contact with people, not even family. We'll probably Skype with them on Christmas morning.

Welcome Kathleen....

Sounds fun. Wish we still had little ones to run to the tree with!!! 🎄

I am so sorry to all of you who can’t be with your families or friends this year. I should have been more thoughtful instead of gushing about how happy I was. We...are fortunate that some of the kids live here, and I am doubly fortunate that they are going along with my screwy idea to appease Grandma, but please...for those of you who will be alone...don’t let this damn covid take away more than it already has. Make a lot of phone calls, skype, make it a special Christmas just for you, and make plans to hold a traditional Christmas as soon as it is safe. It doesn’t matter if it’s July or August or whenever. What matters is planning to be together as soon as you can ❤️

A warm welcome from N.Scotland. Your Christmas eve party sounds great.

Restrictions have largely been lifted to allow families to meet and celebrate , although we're being strongly advised not to. Some of the advice is totally ridiculous - like seating elderly relatives near an open window ! In Scotland in December! - sure fire way to catch pneumonia.
I plan to have a normal Christmas day. Son and elder daughter will be here and we will celebrate with all the usual Pagan trimmings. Weather permitting we will have a walk on the beach. Last year we saw a large group of lady swimmers braving the cold sea. Brave or mad?

My wife and I will be hosting a Virtual Christmas Dinner, on Christmas day, for our our friends here on SF. I will be much like our Thanksgiving Dinner (search Thanksgiving Roll Call) only it will be in a larger building, It was getting pretty crowded at Thanksgiving. It will be a lively crowd and there are a few surprises we hope to have. Join us if you can.....
