Thank you so much!WELCOME!!!![]()
It was a joke because you look so young on the photo. Nope, 51 is fine for here. It was a compliment that you look so young. (Which is why I added the smiley, of course.)I’m 51, too young to be a senior? Weird because younger people think I’m too old.
Convince you how? Are you management?![]()

Thank you Mark. I’m still figuring out my way around here but I will as soon as I can. Thanks again. As soon as you settle in and feel comfy I’m hoping you’ll fill out your back story for us. Adds interest. But welcome anyway in the mean time.
Fifty one is fine. No matter how far out of it you start to feel with the younger crowd elsewhere you should be able feel like “the young one” here for a long time. My wife provides me that opportunity every single day. She turned 80 a couple months ago and I am 70 today .. so young. Wait, you’re spoiling it.
Seriously though I know people of many ages and always have. Age doesn’t scare me. As I used to retell my young teen students when they’d ask my age on my birthday, it beats the alternative.

It's paradoxical that the idea of living a long life appeals to most, but the idea of getting old doesn't appeal to anyone. Welcome to our forum Livvie, enjoy the buzz, enjoy yourself. I do understand what you say about younger people thinking that fifty plus is old, truth be told, when President Kennedy was assassinated he was just 46, at the time, I was 17, I couldn't understand why the newspapers described him as young. We've all been there.
