Investigation into a diary.

I saw/heard Townes solo at the outdoor Vancouver Folk Music Festival, on Jericho Beach, 1980s.
I never got to see a lot of artists I would have liked to have seen. I did get to see B.B. King when he came to our town. I went with my late Wife and another couple. Was a great time. I also got to see Hank Williams Jr. at the fair grounds here. Once solo and once with my late Wife. The crowd was a little rowdy the second time though. He always puts on a great show. Music has always been a friend to me. I enjoy it, ( hell I love it ) lol. Always looking for something special out there. You tube is a blessing as far as music goes. The dream of a music lover. Have a great day and or night. :)

Wow, I can definitely agree with what you're sharing there. I have broad tastes in music, and listen to a lot of it. By the way, I was visiting relatives in Northern California when I (pretty much a kid) was driven to a concert that included the Steve Miller Band, and the Chambers Brothers (who performed "Time").

I notice you've posted some covers of Steely Dan music. I'm big on S.D. There are some great S.D. shows on Youtube, as well as some shorter vids with very fine renditions of their songs extracted from those shows.

See if you like this track. The song was written by a western-Canadian singer-songwriter, Ian Tyson.

I have been unable to get the SD music to play here. They will mute the sound on them. That is why I have been finding good covers of them. Yes the music I like is all over the place. I don't like it all, want to make that clear, but the range is wide. It's not what kind of music it is but rather do I like it or not lol. Glad you got to see Steve Miller Band. I would have liked that. So much talent came out over the years. We have lived through an amazing time in music for sure. :)

Wow. I didn’t know John Mayer was such an accomplished guitarist. I know him as a vocalist and song writer. He’s a very good guitar player.
In my most humble opinion ( which can get me in trouble sometimes :) ) he is one of the great guitar players still living in this day and age. Add that to his song writing and Vocal talents he is hard to top. Other great guitar players right now are ( again in my MHO ) are Eric Gales, Joe Bonamassa, Eric Clapton just to mention a few. There are many but these guys stand out to me. Of course there are those who have passed who were greats on guitar, SRV being the greatest ( IMHO ). :)
