Is 50 Really Old?

When I was 2, I thought 5 was old.

Can't remember if I am 57 or 58... But it all depends on the day how I feel, some days I feel very old, and other days I feel like I am still a whipper snapper...

When someone talks to me about them "being old" and they're really not, I say to them, "I'll swap with you". They look at me and then their face has the funniest expression.

I have kids in their 50s so it doesn't seem old to me at all.

3 of my six children are in their 50's...They are old!!!

I hope that there are no boys or girls here aged 50 and claiming to be old, well, if there are, my message to them is 'WRONG', you are only children with brains, whereas when you get another 25 or so years on the clock, you then become children with their brains ebbing away.......so there.....

My daughter is 60 and while talking to her on the phone she said she had bought herself a cane as she needed it to keep from falling. After we hung up I went outside sit under a tree with tears streaming down my face..

Well, you could look at it this way. Using 50 for a mid-point, what would be your view from 85 ? OK, now how would it look from 15? 35 years in either direction but the view is about as extremely different as you can get.

At 85, 50 is a fading memory. At 15, 50 it seems like a lifetime away. Unfortunately, in my case, it happens to be the "fading memory".
