Is anyone beginning to Prep?

I think the biggest thing that we here in Canada need to prep for is when Mr. Trump thinks he wants to make us his 51st state, and yet our own government wants to disarm us, but also thinks that we firearms owners should be more than happy to form a citizens militia. I guess they haven't read many history books about what happened in Britain and the rest of Europe when people were disarmed.

you tell us what happened when ''Brits were disarmed ''....

We prep for short term natural events where power is out for a week or two and stores are closed. I don't see the violence of war coming here in any large amount. An invasion is a non starter, there is no way it could happen. There really isn't much they could do to us on any large scale except random acts of terrorism designed to frighten everyone. That's why it's called terrorism. It only works if people are scared. I refuse to be terrified. I believe the UK is in a similar boat. Iran has other goals.
:) Right. No need to invade. Our enemies are conquering/have conquered from within.

I apologize if this is considered political. I normally try not to be political in any of the forums or groups that I am part of. I did not explain my thoughts properly. No disrespect was intended. Just having a bad political day of my own.
I shouldn't have said the U.K. was disarmed but at the beginning of WWII both Canada and the U.S. sent a lot of privately owned firearms to Britain. From what I understand most were used by your Home Guard people.
Hitler disarmed his own citizens before the war and then tried to do the same in the countries that he occupied.
