Is anyone starting to make plans for a vegetable/flower garden this year?

Nope. I don't even try anymore. With all the deer, rabbits and squirrels that overrun my place, no veggie stands a chance.

I have two oval galvanized raised beds that are 8' L x 3' W x 1' T. I sat them on 4"x4"x12" landscaping bricks to keep them off the ground. They worked great last year & I can sit on the edges to work in them. Those are replacing my wooden ones that, even sitting on bricks, rot out in about 4 years or so. At the price of wood, I figure they will even out on price & labor.

I use them for lettuce, radish, peppers, etc. My tomatoes, green beans & larger veggies still go in my rows.

22 years ago, I was going through "stressful and worrysome issues" (husband had open heart surgery, sweet daughter in law died, leaving my son with a 10 month baby). The only way to work my way out of the depression was to "dig up the front lawn and plant flowers (in memory of my daughter in law).

Today, the front beds are thriving and walkers usually comment on the garden when I am puttering. It is easy care - minimal weeding, no lawn mowing and the bees love it. Since then, there are more home owners who plant flowers and vegetables in the front yard. I have seen walkers take pictures as the plantings (blue flowers) are "bee magnets".

Yes. But first I've been invited to watch and may be participate in one of my long time gfriends planting of her garden.
Her father died last year, so she's carrying on the tradition of tilling the soil and planting.

She saw my interest in what she was doing on FB and told me come out her way to check things out.
Hopefully, she'll come and help me too. .
