Is it better being in your 20s in the 70s than your 70s in the 20s?

I can't answer that but I do remember Rod Stewart's song Ooh La la, and the chorus.
I wish I knew then what I know now.
Little did I know that I would be a septuagenarian one day.

It's better being in your 20s no matter what decade. There are downsides to being 20-something, but at that age you have the energy and drive to deal with them.

But to answer the question, based on having been in my 20s in the 70s, and having grandchildren who are now in their 20s, I would not prefer being in their shoes.

Without hesitation, I'd rather be 20 and back in the 70's. I miss my 70's friends who are no longer here and the ones that just lost contact over time. Would love to go back and see them all again. :)

Well, they both have a benefit. Being in my twenties in the 70's, I felt anything was possible. I had looks, an education, my whole life to look forward too. However, being in my almost 70's now, I am retired finally, which makes me very happy as my work life did not turn out the way I wanted it too.

'Better'

Interesting

I was young and strong enough to live thru the mistakes I made in the 70s
of which gave me the savvy to live well in the 20s

Wouldn't trade either
