Is it true a totally blind person can get a gun permit?

A friend mentioned that totally blind people can get gun permits. I didn't think that was true- who'd issue a gun permit to somebody who couldn't even see. But, apparently, there are no physical restrictions on anyone getting a gun permit. So, a totally blind person, can open carry a gun and shoot at wherever he thinks there's danger. Like maybe a school bus full of kids?

Don't know, but there is no need for a permit here. So blind people can certainly legally possess one... or more.

Not happening in Canada, because before you can get a rifle or shotgun permit, you have to pass the "safe hunter program ". That requires the applicant to take the class and the field test, which includes crossing fence lines and ditches, while carrying the firearm safely. JimB.
