Is it very important to you to be known as a "nice" person? Why?

I am a nice guy as long as I'm dealing with nice people. Mess with me, and I'll give it back to you, in spades. I prefer being known as a guy who takes care of business, provides a great service for a good price, treats people fairly. My word is my bond, and those who know me understand that.

Not one bit

I don't care what folks think of me

I don't care to know what folks think of me

Whatever folks think, they think
I'm okay with that

I'm quite straight forward
Sometimes I lace serious with funny
This, at times, confuses the simple minded
I'm okay with that too

I never argue with the block headed
Waist of time

I will, however, banter
Depends on my mood

I'm very self-conscious about this subject, not sure why. I always worry, after some social setting, if I upset anyone.

I probably have a bit of my father in me. Although I didn't think so when I was a kid, he was probably the nicest man I've ever known, and most people who knew him thought the same. He is the yardstick by which I measure all men. I strive to be a fraction of what he was.

He believed, and I do too, that you get back what you give. Walk around with an attitude and you will meet mostly not-so-nice people. Be nice to everyone, and most of them will be nice back.

I care.
"When a woman's (or man's) ways please the Lord,
He makes even her enemies be at peace with her."

Proverbs 16:7

And I want to "be known as a nice person" by my dogs because
they always deserve it...they wag their tails at me instead of their tongues.

I'm pretty much the same!! Sadly I've found in this world ''niceness equates to weakness to some people... they make that mistake with me a lot!!

think iam 'been told iam '' but who really knows what NICE MEANS '''''''''''
LOVE ANIMALS -so I must be lol..not sure about humans though

No kidding! When my old man's Little league team won the city championship back in 1956 only the kids on that team got trophies. By the time my oldest son played little leauge in the 1980's his team went 3 and 15 and they all got trophies.
That was our generation's doing. Kids got trophies because parents decided they should.

I looked up the Patrick Swayze clip that you posted. Was that movie (Roadhouse) any good?

P.S. I'm mostly pretty nice but even Wayne Gretzky sometimes threw some sharp elbows - and he was the five time winner of the NHL Lady Byng Memorial Trophy for exhibiting the most gentlemanly behavior and sportsmanship!
