Is it worth it?

Like @hollydolly I was going to suggest Costco delivery. But even before I read your reply above, I thought about how much Costco adds to the cost of items to be delivered, in addition to delivery charges. It's not cost effective. I don't like that they do it, but other retailers do it too. I think you are doing the next best thing by ordering from Walmart. Their prices are very good for the most part. Also, their store brand products (Great Value and Equate) are quite good and offer additional savings.
This is true, and it's an important issue for those of us who live more than 90 miles from the nearest Costco. I did a recent price check on delivery items. They were significantly cheaper at Walmart, but about the same price as other grocery chains. If I go to the store, and stock up for 6 months, I can save, but it takes most of the day to get that done. I'm ending my membership at Costco, although for big ticket items, it can be worth buying a membership just for one thing like hearing aids, eye glasses, or things that cost more than $1000. And I can fill up a grocery cart while I'm there buying a big ticket item. Maybe once every 4 years, on average. I just don't enjoy driving that far to stock up. It's inconvenient. And I miss my daily hike in the woods. None of this is a really big deal. But saving a hundred dollars for a days inconvenience isn't a big deal either.

After the regular shopping at food stores there's not enough food stamps for Costco.
Besides I'm only on Social Security.
We already pay for yearly amount to Walmart delivery. Some of orders are small but delivery is always free with the Walmart+.
Then with regular bills not much left.

Last is we bought this new fridge about year and half ago. The fridge part is fine, but the freezer is smaller than we thought. So you can't fit as much
Thank You for your concern. ☀️

I don't know where you live, but isn't Amazon an option? They accept EBT/SNAP, and if your order is at least $25 shipping is free.
Some areas have Amazon Fresh, too, but even if yours doesn't you can still get non-perishable foods.

Living that far away, I'm surprised you have a membership! Were you living closer when you joined? Your plan makes sense.

I’m pretty sure that these and pharmacy don’t require a membership in Canada.

If you know someone with a membership they could buy you a gift card and you can shop in the store as a guest. That would probably work for one or two trips per year.

I used to marvel that I could buy a whole chicken for the equivalent of $4 and make 2 or 3 meals from that. Now I prefer to but a corn fed 'free range' bird, though I thing the 'free range' is open to interpretation. This will cost me $10, but the flavour and texture of the meat is much better.

Occasionally I do buy bone-in chicken thighs in Lidl. The thigh meat is much better for dishes like curry. I have no problem handling raw meat or chicken, game birds etc..

I'm not sure if there is 'Costco' in this area. I haven't heard of anyone mentioning it.

That's a good idea Jules!
