Is life like a pizza or box of chocolates?

If life is like a pizza, you can choose any toppings you want to build the perfect pie.

If life is a box of chocolates, you open the box with a limited selection to choose from. Sure, we don't always know how life will play out, but we have an idea from the choices we make in life.

I favor the pizza philosophy; where I choose the toppings for my desired pie of life.

The reference is life, is life a box of chocolates or a build your life by the choices you make like toppings on a pizza?

Human Potential Movement
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Human Potential Movement (HPM) arose out of the counterculture movement of the 1960s[1] and formed around the concept of cultivating extraordinary potential that its advocates believe to lie largely untapped in all people. The movement took as its premise the belief that through the development of "human potential", humans can experience an exceptional quality of life filled with happiness, creativity, and fulfillment. As a corollary, those who begin to unleash this assumed potential often find themselves directing their actions within society toward assisting others to release their potential. Adherents believe that the net effect of individuals cultivating their potential will bring about positive social change at large

Remember Erma Bombeck? Didn’t she have a book titled “If Life is a Bowl of Cherries, why am I in the Pits?” 😄

ok @Mr. Ed, I’ll stick to the topic.

life’s a combination both of choices you make and what you get. In fact, how you respond to those things you can’t foresee is another choice, isn’t it?
I remember both Erma Bombeck, and the book you speak of very well, CinnamonSugar! :)

How I miss reading the old advice columns! There was Erma, Ann Landers, Dear Abby, Miss Manners, Heloise (Hints & Tips), and, and, and... it's been so long now I've forgotten the others.

Life for me, Mr. Ed, is a hybrid of the two, and it changes from day-to-day.

Today life may be a loaded pizza done to perfection, tomorrow it may be an endless variety and array of tasty chocolates, and the next day I may be swimming in a bowl of cherry pits.

No matter what life gives me I try and make of it what it is, and I always try and add chocolate. :giggle:

I loved all those also. Still have Erma's book, too.
There's an old book store I visit that has a treasure trove of used books along with new books and magazines.

Just recently I lost myself in the section that houses a collection of Erma Bombeck books, and what fun I had going through them.

Life is a box of chocolates because some people's life choices will be curtailed by their circumstances.

Sorry to be so serious but it's that kind of a day.
