Is The Local Library Nearing It's End?

I sure hope not!!!! Part of the enjoyment of reading, for me, is to hold the book in my hands, turning the pages, putting in my book mark. Plus I love roaming the library searching for new books, new authors, new subjects. I’ve tried my kindle...and it’s just not the same for some reason

Reading real books and ebooks on my tablet are equally wonderful. Wandering my library was once a guilty pleasure; now I wander the book threads on this forum, recommendations by friends and other sources. Ebooks arrive instantly and get returned as soon as I finish reading them, nearly always before the 21 day lending period has elapsed.

To the public libraries who've devised ways to safely continue serving their patrons, we should offer our gratitude and admiration.
