Oh boy,there have been a few times I have said exactly that lately. Will have to think about what the instances were and get back to you.

Oh yes, to see and hear. A very good friend of mine moved into a very small house with her husband. At the time they had several cats. She then had a heart attack and was in the hospital for several weeks. Refused physical therapy and now can barely walk. The hubby did nothing during that time in the way of housekeeping including cleaning up after the cats. He did feed them though. She can't do it and now I'm getting the impression the place is a disaster. I have offered to clean it for her more than once but she won't let me near the place. We meet for lunch now and then. When I pick her up she is waiting on the front porch and hobbles out to the car. The hubby is no help and refuses to consider assisted living. I think he is a big part of the problem. He also drinks. Sad story but I'd love to know how bad the situation really is.
