Is This Funny Or Just Plain Ridiculous?

We go through this every Wednesday, pick up the flyer bundle day. One day someone is going to go to jail for assault for hitting someone over the head with a bundle of paper flyers.

I sat yesterday waiting for over an hour and a half along with several other idiot neighborhood park people waiting for the flyer lady to arrive. Maybe next time we should have a tailgate party instead of just yakking it up from our vehicles.

And when someone shows up from outside the park.....the outsiders as they are known, some of the regulars are quick to glare and let them know they are not wanted. They want the papers to use as doggy pee pads.

The papers were late, after the first hour and begging hubby to go home cause my cell battery was almost down from playing solitaire and since I did not have the forethinking to wear a coat I was getting a tad mad. But nope, he along with the others were staying....it has become almost a game to see how late the lady is bringing the flyers.

She showed up, I joined the feeding frenzy and watched as an outsider grabbed several to the boos and hoos of the regulars.

Now is this entertainment or not.

Holly, for the most part here they now have boxes similar to what they put the daily newspapers in. So those that want them have to go them.

Ours go from mailbox to trash bin on the way to the house like most of the mail.

However, Lee's message about the chronically late woman is so irritating. My husband plays trumpet as part of the music group for his church. They all get there about an hour before the service to run through everything. One woman is late every single Sunday and expects them all to run through it a second time just for her. People who are always late are arrogant! They enjoy having everyone wait for them.

I think Lee and company should get together and plan to come two hours late next time and make the arrogant one wait for them. Or would she give them all to the pee-paper crowd?

Here in Toronto our house has 2 mailboxes, one for the actual mail, and a second one for the junk mail that companies pay Canada Post to deliver. I made a deal with our letter carrier. He puts the junk stuff in the second box, per the directions of his employer, Canada Post, and I drop it all in the recycling wheelie bin. Everyone is happy. JimB.

I wish we had that here. I have a ''no junk post '' sign on my front door.. and that prevents a lot of it, but the postman who delivers a lot of it with the regular mail says it doesn't apply to him, he's bound to deliver the junk even if he has no regular post..

She’s pretty tough-skinned to take several papers when others are booing her. Selfish too.

Someone could try making an official-looking sign that says “One paper per family unit.”

Does your subdivision have a No Trespassers/Private Property sign at the front gate? That could be mentioned to her.
