Is this Safe to eat?

Maybe I should defrost them. In the fridge. Then smell them and look at them. Then make my decision. Or. Throw them out.

I'm cheap. Don't want to buy more unless I'm absolutely sure I will use them.

Food is so expensive. I barely eat but the last two months I've had to go into my savings to buy food.

Defrost them, then smell them. They might have a bit of freezer burn. If you are still unsure after defrosting them then throw them out.

Reminds me of the time I cleaned out the family SUV when still married, it was an absolute mess.
There was a McD's food sack with stuff still in it, had been in there a long time. I removed the wrapper and found a cheeseburger that was devoid of spoilage, but it was hard as a rock.

I was amazed, and decided to see if this sandwich was indestructable, I threw it as hard as I could against the shed, it bounced off, when I looked at it, it did not break or disfigure in any way. 🧐
I had a similar situation. Had breakfast at a well known pub chain. I couldn't eat all the breakfast so I wrapped the sausages in a napkin to take home.

Forgot completely about them until one month later. When I found them they were green..luminiously green.. but no smell or rot....and hard as rock.

I wonder to this day what they were made from...

Oooh, onion rings and cheeseburger sounds awesome! For what it's worth (not much, I know, I know 🤭 ) I made a pork tenderloin a couple months ago that I'd bought two years ago. It was fine... no freezer burn at all, though... that's what would have been the deciding factor. That smell is unmistakable.
See....now you got met wanting some onion rings!! šŸ˜›

Peps, are these hamburgers in a bun? I'm sure the meat is fine, but the bun won't taste good. It won't make you ill, but the texture is ruined.

If there's lettuce and onions on it, you want to take them out before heating up the burger.

No. They were burgers I made, then immediately froze, from fresh Stop&Shop hamburger. I used to buy around 3lbs., make about nine burgers, froze and had at least once a week. I used to cook. Actually more than just burgers. Had dinner every night. Now my son calls to nag me to eat. Just got out of the habit.

I asked him to pick up brown rice & beans when he last shopped for me about a month ago. Figured that was easy to start with, and I like it. Haven't gotten around to it yet. Forgot.

Beans have only a little less protein than ground beef, plus they have fiber. So that's a good substitute.

Oh goodness I regularly have meat that's been in my freezer for longer than a year...it's perfectly fine, just make sure it's cooked all the way through.
Not uncommon for us to pull out stuff over 2 years old... as long as its not freezer burnt it should be fine....
I actually used some hamburger the other day..... Sealed foil pack non refrigerated.... Best by date was 2016... LOL...

My concern is not about your frozen meat…that will last many years. But you sort of said…several times…you have quit eating?? That is not healthy. Are you eating something???
I don't have much of an appetite, yet, if someone put something delicious in front of me I would quickly devour it.
