Israeli Colonel Fighting With Isis. God Bless America's Allies?

I looked at a map a while back that showed the territories that ISIS had over run and something that I found extremely interesting and puzzling was that Israel (whom every Arab is purported to hate and want driven into the sea) was smack in the middle of the territories and had experienced no harm from ISIS. Hmmmm, how on earth can that be I asked myself.

Well folks, today I came across an article that might very well explain it. Apparently, Iraqi security forces (who were working with the US to beat ISIS) have captured an Israeli colonel and several other Israeli military, who was leading a group of ISIS fighters! His name, rank and security code number are given in the article for any who might wish to follow up on the veracity of their discovery.

This then leaves us to ponder, why is America's so-called ally in the region, fighting WITH those butchers? And why is America saying nothing to them about their actions?
Then you must also consider that Turkey (another so-called ally in the region) not only didn't want to begin fighting ISIS for the longest time, but they did do battle with the Kurds who are one of the few groups that have been successful in combatting ISIS on the ground.....and America has not told them to back off and focus on ISIS (the enemy of all). Not only that, but Turkey has now moved in to close down a news outlet that is not supportive of that government, just before an election. All I can say is whatever happened to truth, democracy and fighting the good fight against terrorism?

NO!!!!! Not an Israeli!!! They WOULDN'T do anything like that!! Perhaps we should invite that Israeli colonel to address our joint Congress to explain. I'm sure there is a plausible reason.. :eek:nthego:
 
Ex military including the Israeli's have been to known to provide mercenary services for centuries. The Israeli's were rumored to have helped the cocaine dealers of the 80s & 90s providing 'security' for those drug kingpins & operations. American have been joining the ISIS is numbers. Jihadi John is a Brit.

Someday the world will figure out Israel. They are not the "Poor picked on victims" they would have us believe. Again, it's the religious angle that it all hangs together because of.

And you're absolutely right about being suspicious! I wish more people would be equally suspicious whenever they listen to the msm. For example, on the sights that I'm reading and watching videos of, there is continual updates about what Russia is doing in their 24 hour bombing runs and yet my CBC and CTV news hardly mention it at all. In fact, I think I saw one mention written in the ticker below the images, but I don't think I've heard any of them actually talking about Russia and how much of an impact they are making there. It's like it's disappeared from the radar. So yeah, be suspicious when a story is mentioned and be suspicious when there is silence.

And Jim, I have to agree on your remarks about Israel and their 'victimhood'. The West has been sold a bill of goods on that one. There are most certainly victims here, but it isn't the guys with the major weaponry.
 
Yeah... I'm not a huge fan of Israel.. I think they play us for fools by us always doing their dirty work.. and them demanding it. What corked it for me was the Netanyahu stunt during the Iran negotiations.

One thing to keep in mind especially since this story has an Iranian source is that many in the Muslim community believe or are perpetuating the theory that ISIS is a CIA - Mossad concoction to destabilize the region. In 2014 Time Magazine even noted such theories.

Could there be truth to some manipulation and exploitation of current events and groups-absolutely. Did ISIS start in at a cia or mossad meeting probably not.

Also many are perpetuating a rumor that Israel has given or used tactical nukes in the Saudi-Yemen war.

Whatinthe, I respect your sceptical attitude about the Far News Agency story so I went looking for confirmation and came across the following, printed in the Veterans Today website, which is focused on providing news for members of the military and veteran community in the USA.

The writer of the article is a member of American Institute for Middle East Strategic Studies (USA) and serves as Assistant Director of Arab-American and Muslim Congress (Detroit, USA).


So it seems to me, that the story has legs as they say, and stands on its own. And what it boils down to is that America’s ‘greatest ally’ in that region is knowingly working with a most heinous terrorist group that the US and allies have apparently provided training and weapons to in it’s single minded devotion to bringing down a government as had been decided by the Pentagon in 1991 according to your own General Wesley Clark.


According to this article, Israel has acknowledged the colonel’s existence and the Iraqi’s who caught him are keeping DESI (a European security agency) informed as to what is going on with their captive. Some other astounding allegations/statements are made that call into question if nothing else, America’s ability to pick their allies in that region. It talks of the Saudi’s, Jordan, Qatar and the UAE supplying vehicles and funds and guidance to ISIS. Aand with America dropping 50 tonnes of ammo into the middle of a desert and ‘hoping’ the right guys get them…….well seems to me that the world is being lied to and your government and Pentagon are overpaid while they hose you, the voters, because their agenda is something other than America's safety.

If this story has legs as you say Debbie, it truly makes me wonder what exactly is the end game? It boggles the mind. I am no fan of Zionism, but I am taken aback at the cynicism of all parties involved in this tangled web of political expediency.
 
When I first started following all of this a few years ago, I was incredibly naive too. I thought the good guys wore white hats, the bad guys were the ones in black and never the twain shall meet. What I've since realized is that it's fluid. Meaning today they will be enemies and tomorrow they'll work together as one uses the other to benefit themselves and there are no white hats, only black ones and a general filthy grey.

Like Bush's determination to take out al Qaeda because they brought down the Towers and yet in Syria, America is working with and arming and training 'al Qaeda' to take out Assad. You've got the worlds greatest 'spy based foreign affairs economy' picking which are good terrorists to work with and arming them to the tune of millions upon millions of tax payer dollars only to end the program because all they got out of it was a handful of 'mercenaries'. I've often said to my husband as we watch the ebb and flow of this, 'you truly do need a program to keep up with who's doing what to or with whom' these days.

This article in the Washington Times describes clearly who the people are that the American government has armed and further down describes what a dangerous situation has been created for America and the entire Middle East by arming the monsters that stalk the land there.
 
Hmmm. I don't think of myself as naive -- but perhaps I need to be better informed. I am greatful for alternative sources of information such as Al Jazeera which provide an alternative to group speak.
