It’s official, I’ve lost my mind

My tinnitus evidences itself frequently as people in the next room talking. I hear what sounds like far-off voices, but I can't make out what they're saying. Occasionally, it'll be music that I can hear but can't make out what the song is. This always happens at night.

My tinnitus manifests oddly too. It sometimes, mostly in middle of night, sounds like hundreds of small birds chirping.Tho most everything but owls settle down for the night. Other times it's just a static like buzzing.

Then i also sometimes get a ringing sound if i turn or nod my head abruptly. But that is probably an effect of the otoliths that also cause my sporadic BPPV.

I refuse to succumb to such fantasy so I solve the problem by wearing earplugs at night. And, I quell my fear of thunderstorms by crawling in bed and pull the blankets and pillows over my head when one is chasing me around. Soon, you will find me curled up in the fetal position under the bed but all is well in my world...
