It comes in a can you know...

Beefaroni. In my defense, I haven't had it in years and always leave the bits of beef. I see they have a "throwback recipe" version now, which is supposed to be their original recipe. Even with a name like "throwback" (reminds me of throw up), I was tempted to try it when this pandemic hit but never did.

Baked beans are about the only canned thing I eat these days.

tuna fish in oil.
Yes. The"tonno in olive oil" is really delicious!

I try to stay away from canned products because of the high BPA content but I do keep a few cans of soup (Progresso), evaporated milk (use in cooking) , tuna (Bumble Bee), skinless & boneless sardines.

For the pandemic hysteria, I bought a few canned items that I don't normally buy... Dinty Moore stew, corned beef, various soups, chili, and even 2 cans of Spam. :GASP!!: I got caught up in the moment, haha. I guess I can always donate that stuff to a local food pantry.

I used to buy canned tuna but lately I pick up those pouch things instead.

Wow. Reading this thread made me realize how little canned food I eat.
I’ll open cans of tomato products to make spaghetti sauce, or beans to make chili if I need to be quick and don’t want to cook the beans from scratch, but that’s really all I can think of that I use on any kind of regular basis.
Oh!! Wait!!! Smoked oysters....with Brie and crackers, and chilled Moscato . A “date night“ treat! ;)

All of these are Oilpatch staples - and taste pretty dam good when you have been oversea's offshore for afew weeks with not good local groceries and corporate "cost efficiency initiatives", meaning poor and poorer food quality.
Additionally, they all pack good in a offshore duffel bag and for bringing over from the States.

I use canned garbanzos and other beans (I rinse them first to get rid of as much salt/sugar as possible before use), canned tuna fish and sometimes canned salmon. That's it, except canned dog food to mix with Henry's dry food. He gets 1/6 can with each meal.
